Compatibility is key for an effective client/counsellor relationship so to help identify whether we are the right fit, this is an honest reflection of who I am and what I can offer.

I was inspired to become a counsellor after receiving transformational counselling when experiencing my own difficulties which helped me overcome these, gain confidence and understand who I truly am, and my passion for counselling began.

I value being a compassionate, reliable and genuine therapist and take pride in working ethically and confidentially whilst being a friendly, empathic and approachable therapist. I provide a calm, welcoming and safe space where you’re able to share the big things, the small things, and everything in-between with me. I can assure you that you’ll always be heard and will never feel judged. I work at your pace to gain a clear understanding of your experiences and emotions, supporting you towards your therapy goals, as you process and gain a clearer sense of identity.

I’m a pluralistic counsellor with my work embedded in the person-centred approach. I provide person centred counselling, low intensity evidence-based CBT and mindfulness techniques as part of therapy sessions, depending on your needs and preferences.

I’ve supported individuals with enduring mental health difficulties on wards and worked within two respected agencies as a counsellor.

I have an interest in supporting interpersonal relationship issues as well as experience supporting a wide range of difficulties including; stress, low mood, worrying, anxieties, long term health conditions, low self-esteem, self-identify issues, trauma, obsessions, post traumatic stress, work related stress, sexuality, phobias, loss and grief.

Outside of the counselling room I’m often enjoying the fresh air with my dog, come rain or shine! I like the freedom of sea swimming, although I’m certainly a seasonal swimmer(!) and I enjoy reading a good thriller.
